Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born on August 19, 1965, is an American actress. She is also an actor and producer. Her starring role on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most well-known. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The series ended following the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was one of the New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and therapist for families as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she is Jewish and has been a participant in Passover dinners.
